Walter H. Wise, born in October, 1891, at North Hampton, Massachusetts. Attended the University of Nevada. Volunteered from Reno, Nevada, June 7, 1917. Served in Company C, 2d Infantry, California National Guard; and in Company M, 159th Infantry, 40th Division. Made Corporal November 13, 1917. Died of disease January 16, 1918. Person notified of death, W.B. Wise, father, 829 Orange Street, New Haven, Connecticut. Nothing regarding his early life cold be obtained. His name is on the Honor Roll of Washoe County.
